I have been on Pradaxa 3 years. No issues ... Do not try warfarin ...

and you will see that this is listed as a possible side-effect. Go back to your doctor and try a different blood-thinner . Have you tried warfarin ?

When I was diagnosed with AF the doc put me on Rivaroxaban , after I had the pacemaker the cardiologist kept me on them saying I am still at risk of stroke.
Feeling. bit better

Not used predaxa for a couple of days, will use Rivaroxaban for the next few days and try predaxa on Sunday again to see if it was that causing such stomach trouble, feel much better now after leaving them off,
Wonder if it could have been a curry I had the day before it all kicked off,
I see the doc next week.

I don't know why you are taking blood-thinners; you haven't given us enough info but let us assume that your Dr considers you to have an increased risk of having a stroke. If this is the case you really should take a blood-thinner EVERY day and you should not be randomly swapping from one type to another.
It could have been the curry but there is a high likelihood that the Pradaxa was causing the stomach problems
You need to ask your GP exactly why you are taking blood-thinners and what are the risks of stopping and starting them as you are doing.
Best of luck

Why do you say " Do not try warfarin " ?
Celast has told us that he / she cannot tolerate Xarelto ( rivaroxaban ), also , unlike you cannot tolerate Pradaxa ( dabigatran )
Doctors don't have that many blood thinners to choose from ; there is Plavix but that is not without its problems
Warfarin is the most widely used blood thinner in the world
and is remarkably free of side-effects. It may be the only thinner that he/she can take !
