I have very recently been diagnosed with cardioinhibitory syncope following a tilt table test...during this test I blacked out and my heart stopped for 20 seconds. I have seen a cardiology consultant who said that I would benefit from a pacemaker and that it was the best treatment to have.
I also have nocturnal bradycardia and have recently had a ecg of 47bpm.
Can anyone tell me what the regulations are for driving with this condition after a pacemaker is fitted and maybe the length of time I could be looking at for not been able to drive. I have only had a syncope episode 3 times in the last 10 years.

Hi,
Welcome! I was diagnosed with Mobitz Type II 2nd degree AV block almost a year ago due to 2 syncope episodes one night. After the diagnosis I was told NOT to drive until my PM implant which was 5 days later. Driving restrictions vary after depending on where you live and your doctor. I had to wait 2 weeks after my implant. Some people can drive right away, and some not for a month. I would check with your doc to be sure but now since I have the pacer I have no driving restrictions at all.
Good luck to you!

If you are in the UK it is 7 days before you are allowed to drive
If in the US

Your doc normally says. Mine offered that I could drive myself home if I wanted. I didn't. Still I was driving 5 days later. About a week is what most will say.

I got my pacemaker a year ago. I was 73; have Mobitz Type II 2nd degree AV Block. Pacemaker implant on Monday, hospital overnight, home Tuesday. Drove to work on Wednesday. In Florida there are no state restrictions.
