How old are you? Are there others living in your house besides you and your mom?

..............the comments above regarding alcohol intake are certainly relevant for the anesthetist. People who have a high tolerance to alcohol also often have a higher tolerance to anaesthetics as a result of being able to process faster.

Should the operation be lengthy there may be a limit on how much sedation can be administered.

Best wishes.

A pacemaker may be just the thing!

Once your mother gets her pacemaker, she may quit drinking. Alcohol greatly affects heart rhythm and she may feel quite poorly if she drinks too much. It's a great wake-up call!

All the best as you help your Mom through the next couple of months. Please keep us posted and let us know if you need moral support.

thanks
