MASTECTOMY

I have had both breast removed because of cancer, 5 month ago I had to get a pacemaker, it continues to hurt and swell , could this be because of the lack of lymph notes and tissue from the other surgery

A major concern is the possibility of an acquired infection. If the surgical site is infected it is important to get treatment promptly. It is better to be safe than sorry. Since the weekend is coming up, you may have to go to the hospital emergency room. Did your post surgical instructions give any guidance or phone numbers for contacting a physician? Is there any drainage from the surgical site?
I think you should get this checked out. Please let us know what happens.

The scar is healed no drainage but all around the breast area is swollen I think maybe I did a little to much cleaning but I go to my cancer Doctor next week so maybe he can tell me something will let you know thanks for your concern
