The micra is the new leadless, wireless ect pacemaker. I had this done a week ago. There are 800 of us and just hoped someone may be on here.
Not me

Apparently mine is an antique (not complaining).
I wouldn't qualify for a leadless anyway.
I hope you have much success with it.

Thanks Grateful Heart. I'm a bit nervous because it is so new but happy with everything so far. The recovery time was almost nil. I went in on Wed and was home Thursday. Shopping by Friday. Not sure if the anxiety is just because all of this is still a shock to me or because it is a new device. Perhaps both.
I HAVEONE!!

Hi there!
I have had my Micra TPS since November 10th. Although I had some trouble at first (related to my anxiety NOT the pacemaker) I am completely back to normal but better!!!
Funny thing, I have been busy with getting another degree and have not been on for a while. I just finished a paper on my Micra TPS and wanted to come say hi, GLAD I DID!
Tammy, I was sore and not able to walk good for about three weeks, then I was back on my treadmill. Now, almost three months later, all the tests are good, the pacemaker saves my tushy (I have stage 2 and sometimes 3 heart block mobitz type 2). I have learned to accept and trust this little amazing technological development in my chest and would not have it any other way. Research or not, I am more comfortable with this device than I ever would be with leads, etc. I was back to normal lifting weights, etc in a month. We are truly blessed to be a part of ground breaking research, we will help set the standard for pacemakers of the future.
IF I can help you in any way, just private message me, I'll be more than GLAD to help out!!
Thanks!
ME TOO

My chest was a bit sore but that was it. I was out shopping 2 days later. My handler (husband) protested but I couldnt stand being shut in the house.
I did not have a heart block in fact, I just had a heart cath 2 years ago and the results were fantastic. I only had pauses ect. Perhaps that is why I was not as sore?
I too feel I would be miserable with leads ect. so for that I am very grateful.
Oh and I just got my degree in Computer Information Systems. Thankfully, I just finished up before all of this hit.

Hi
I'm due to have a Micra fitted in a couple of weeks time. Can see this thread is a few years old so just wondering how everyone is doing now?
I can't seem to find out much info on the Micra so any feedback would be great.
Thanks
Still doing great!

It was a good decision I feel to have the Micra. I've had no issues that I would not have had anyway. I feel very confident in my device and med team. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.

I remember reading a post from " running mama"'on this site ( and I think that is the correct name). She seemed to be pleased with hers although it is new. I hope she might respond to your message.
