A new member here, and just wanted to say Hello. Im a 34 year old male and just had PM put in on 1/9/15 after valve replacement surgery. Already found some useful tips on this site.

Welcome to the club. Based upon your comment, looks like you've read over the entries and have gotten a handle on things. Good for you. Better than the ones who just shoot from the hip.

Feel free to come back with questions. Doctors and medical people don't know all the answers, neither do we, but a person who has a PM has a completely different perspective than one who doesn't. Until you have one you can't imagine what it feels like.

Occasionally have a medical person tell me something really wacko. Have to come back to the site in order to get a grip on reality. End up shaking my head at all the misinformation out there that just keeps getting repeated. Anyway...
