hi there. I know the feeling. It took me several months before I could lie on my side. it felt as if the device was hanging. but it does get better. I'm not sure why your incision is still bandaged? i assume you have had a couple of checks since the implant?

Hi bunny45. I'm surprised that your incision site is bandaged. Mine never was, I was just super glued together. It took about three weeks for me to be comfortably sleeping either on my right side or flat on my back. Pillows helped a lot. I would use smaller pillows to prop up my chest while I was on my side.

Your pm is probably fine and well within you it is just that your body is still trying to adjust to something new inside of you. Give your body a chance. Try to let your anxiety subside a little bit (I know-easier said than done).

thankyou

Just wanted to let you know that it took 2 weeks for me to be able to sleep on my R side and 3 weeks for the L side. My PM in on the left. It seems to vary as we are all different. Thought I would let you know how it went for me.

Good Luck!

hi bunny 45 I just got a pacemaker on the 11th Dec 14 so I'm still trying to get used to it, that's been 4 weeks now. I bought a V shaped pillow and use this with my other pillows and its helped a lot. As I'm a newbie here as well I'm glad this wee clubs here as well for help and advice. reading through different posts helps me a lot and gives loads of info.

Hey Bunny45, my last procedure was on the 22nd and I am still bandaged as well and they told me that the steristrips will come off pretty much on their own so I'm going with that as I am not eager to see what it looks like underneath. When I roll over in my sleep I wake up. I'll try the pillow trick too. I also feel like the PM is really close to the surface. However I believe we will be ok. We just have to get use to this whole new thing going on in our bodies and one day we will be telling the newbies what's what. :)
