Greetings and Questions!

Good morning! I came across this group after a couple hour search of information regarding pacemakers. Long story short I have a dear friend of mine, Marine veteran, who is in need of having a pacemaker. Unfortunately he does not currently have health insurance. I am just looking for information regarding possible services/grants/coverage to pass along to him. Thank you all so much for your help!

Thank you both for your input. I've passed along the info.

He is a NY resident, and definitely not a felon, a medic in fact. As of now you aren't REQUIRED to have health insurance, you just have to pay the "fine" during tax time.

Thanks again for your help.

Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills, NJ will treat him. I know they take your insurance no matter what it is, and then you never get a bill for the remainder.
I had my Pacemaker put in back in June of 2014 at Deborah Hospital, and have been doing very well.
Call Deborah for information. From NY to NJ is not a big trip.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
