I had a heart cath done a month ago due to ongoing chest pain after my pacemaker implant. The cath showed no blockages so told to get stress under control.....
I am on Zoloft and it has helped a lot but still have chest pain at times. Also taking prilosec in case heartburn is part of it.
I assume I don't need to worry about the chest pain being my heart now???? Feeling abandoned by my heart Doc right now.ð

Hi, Lisa
Hope you get your chest pain evaluated also. Your pain may or not be heart/device related. While it is normal to experience various sensations like tenderness, pulling, some pain, etc. after our procedures, pain severe enough to feel as though you are experiencing a heart attack is not one of them. Severe and/or lingering pain is your body telling you something is not right. Please listen to your body.

Yeah that's what I think I feel like something isn't right either but I was just told to be aka meds for my extra beats. Not a great solution.
I still have pain too

I also have chest pain below where my pacemaker is and at times it's really bad especially when I'm driving. I feel like I'm having a heartattack. I have been told that my pacemaker is working great so I'm ok. I am 5 weeks post op.
You know you're wired when...
Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

Hi, Cindi
You are obviously concerned. Chest pain should never be left undiagnosed. You seem to no lon ger believe your current medical care is responsive, a red flag for at least a second opinion. Also, please do not add medication to treat a possible problem that may not be the actual problem. All medication has an effect on us from insignificant to life threatening. A complete physical would be a good idea if you have not had one lately. Whatever direction you choose next, just please do not ignore the pain. Hope to hear you have a diagnosis and are feeling much more like yourself soon.
