tattoos & dental work

Yes, tattoos are fine. Just not over the device itself.
Dental work is fine too. Depending on the procedure and how long after your implant you may need to get some antibiotics first. I had a cleaning several weeks after my implant and I had to get antibiotics. I was told to get them up to 6 months after implant. You may want to check with your dentist and cardiologist for your specific situation.

antibiotics- my 2 cents

My cardiologist said antibiotics are unnecessary. If it involved a heart valve, he would.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
Dental work & tattoos

Dental work & tattoos are OK. You just have to advise them you have a PM.
We had one person who wanted a tattoo over their PM. Strongly advised not. Probably would hurt a lot. I didn't want anything near my PM pocket let alone a tattoo needle. And, of course, make sure the tattoo artist complies with all sanitary procedures.
Dental work is OK too. It used to be they wanted you to take antibiotics prior to going in for dental work but that proved not necessary. My dentist wants a complete run down of all meds.
What they are concerned about is an infection getting lose in your body and settling in the PM pocket area. It's a concern but not anything to obsess about.
