Breathing Issues

Does anyone else suffer from breathing issues? Like the constant need to lightly breathe and feel like you're holding your breath if you don't? I have no previous breathing issues, these started about 2.5 weeks after my pacemaker was put in?

I felt like I was holding my breath and couldn't exhale all the way. Doctor adjusted my seeing and I don't have the issue anymore. Good luck, it could be something different for you.

Sounds like it is time for a setting adjustment.

After the leads settle in and your heart gets used to being paced, adjustments may be necessary.

For me, it felt as if I couldn't catch my breath after the first few months. I was sent to my EP and he lowered the voltage....condition corrected.

This is exactly how I have been feeling, 3 weeks after my pacemaker implant.  I have had 2 adjustments and things were going well and then the SOB started this weekend and I can barely move without becoming short of breath.  I go for my post-op follow-up appointment next week, but I think I need to check in sooner.  It's very unsettling to be so short of breath.  Good luck to you!

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
