Feeling at ease

I have been reading about every post and found them to be helpful to me. Today makes 3 weeks since I've had my pm. I'm beginning to feel better as the days go by. I had many questions but have found answers through your post. Keep up the good work!

I've had quite a few changes over the first year with the PM. So depending upon what brought you to getting the PM, medication changes, changes in your body, changes due to the PM, you may find your heart problems to be a moving target. i.e. what is true this week may not be true next week.

I don't say this to be negative - most of my changes have been positive - but I do want you to be aware things may continue to change for, at least, the first year. So don't be surprised if something new pops up.

I don't have a choice about living without the PM. But I'm very happy I was able to survive long enough to receive it. Every minute is a bonus minute, every day a bonus day.

I wish you the best with your pacemaker.

A little bit about my history!

Thank you Theknotguy!
A little bit about my story, two years ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I was taking it fas prescribed. One day at work I began to feel very weak and dizzy and passed out, I was rushed to hospital and was told my pressure was high but my pulse rate was very low, in the low 30's. I was eventually told the med I was taking was a beta blocker and it was slowing my heart rate.. I went through many test and found nothing wrong. No blockage. I was told I might need a pm but since I did well on stress test, cardiologist said I just have a slow heart rate and was discharged with new BP med. Two years later the same thing happened again but this time BP was good. Cardiologists said since this is second time this has happened he felt I need to have the pm, this time my resting rate was in the 20's. My family and I ask many questions and made the decision to go forward with the surgery.
