Super Sensitive

Hi, I had dual Ensura pacemaker fitted 2nd October 2014 at my last check up with my cardiologist he told me I was super sensitive to the pacing of my pacemaker this was diagnosed after having a 48 hrs monitor on to try and find out what the "weird" feelings were that I was having. They had settled down a lot but the last week this "weird" feeling has really be bothering me, the day time is not to bad but night time is terrible it's there every night for hours, I'm not getting much sleep with it, I was wondering if anybody else has been told there are super sensitive to the pacing. Thank you.

I was told that some people are sensitive to ventricular pacing, and it can feel odd. I experienced odd feelings with my initial settings which made me feel very uncomfortable. Settings were adjusted around ventricular sensing and pacing (as well as lowering my minimum atrial rate), and this made a huge difference.

Worth going back and getting your settings looked at and adjusted - it made a huge difference to me.

Thank you PeterFindlay for your comments, my next pacemaker check is Feb 26th so I will definitely be asking them to make some adjustments .

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.
