Biotronic?

I'm having a pacemaker implanted in 2 days. They are implanting a Biotronic PM. Does anyone have one. Everyone seems to have a Medronic.

Sure there are....but not me. LOL

I don't have a Medtronic either. :-/

Sorry, I couldn't resist...golden_snitch is our resident expert on the workings and settings of PM's and she has a Biotronik PM. She goes by golden_snitch, her name is Inga.

In case you were wondering, mine is a Boston Scientific.

I do. I got it 12 days ago and it's my first pacemaker. My doctor normally only uses Medtronic but tried a biotronik out with me because of my persistent VVS and the unique CLS sensor it has. I like it and I think that sensor is the best possible for my situation/diagnosis.

I got one too

I got one a year ago. I really didn't have any say but my doctor felt is was best for my condition. So far so good!

I have the Biotronik Evia DR-T for 1 year (for bradycardia) and it's great. I also exercise almost daily, usually high cardio like running, zumba, cardio kickboxing. It took a couple of visits and some recovery time to get the settings right but no complaints from me. I got mine during a trip to the ER so no time to even think about it, however the Biotroniks rep was there working with the EP on call and they did several tests like have me walk with a monitor and stand up from laying down, etc to determine if it was going to be the right fit for me.

You know you're wired when...

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
