I had a Biotronik dual lead installed about 9-20-14 on my R side due to complications in getting leads in L arteries.
This was done because I had SOB,dizzyness, falling, and can't climb stars. Went to hospital and they found a heart beat of 40 and lower chambers only beating every other beat sometime and sometimes not at all!. Basically they found a A/V heart block and i think its called sinoscope.along with an abnormal thyroid. I did pass two lyme disease tests but think i should get checked again by some specialist for lyme again??
For today I'm just wondering does anybody have random dull/sharp pains in chest near heart? Its very random sometimes happens if I'm stressed but often times happens if I'm simple sitting reading a book. I can be very painful and last for as long as 30 minutes kinda random pulsing type pain.
I'm not sure if this is the pacemaker "kicking" in or what? It can get painful enough to kinda kick me to the couch per sea' holding my chest.
I have a appointment at heart doctor with pacemaker rep in 5 days. But even after my last appointment the doctor just told me "I'm sorry you are having problems , we will not give up on you".
It's like What? I was hoping he would say we should do this test or that test? Or send me to somebody else? But it seems like they want to sit and watch?
In mean time my job is only going to give me maybee 30 days sick bank time . After that I need to find a way to work or a doctor to help me.
I'm very stressed as I'm a teacher with only 5 years in and not "vested in system.
I think I screwed myself out of my 20yrs of socsec disabilityat regular job due to being a teacher for 5 years? I'm not even sure I could get anything if I get better ? I looked online and it looks like heart problems are hard to claim with socsec?
Anyways sorry for venting and not sticking to topic. I'm just kinda lost and not sure what to do. Not even sure the proper place to post this topic?

I'm new here and going to have a consult about getting a pacemaker next Tuesday. I can relate to your fears and frustrations about your heart condition and about income. I just left a job I've had for 4 years and just applied for state disability. The stress of the job was too much for me.
Don't give up. It's amazing nowadays how we can be kept alive with all the new technology. Go to your appointments and follow your doctors orders. That's the best you can do..and I will continue to pray for you.
Thanks so much for comments!!

I often see many people read comments but don't leave any kind of response.
I'm not expecting any answers . But I must say it is helpfull to know that I'm not the only one having certain symptoms. Especially when I have a medical team that says little to nothing.
I often wonder do i get a new primary care and heart doctor and start all over again or do I just go with the "lets see what happens"??
In the mean time i have only 30 days left before my sickbank runs out. I feel need i will need to find a new job because my supervisor has already told me they dont want me back in shop/classroom. Or do some sort of dance with SocSec. I guess sometimes my biggest fear is that in todays economy I wont find anything to sustain the bills and mortgage I have in the physical state i'm now in.
Mind you i want to work! I want to walk! I want to be able to stand up without being dizzy. I guess today was just a very tough day. Even my requests for short term disability and sick days from work were delayed again by people saying we need more documents. But they still want their payments for medical/disability payments ontime. I'm like ok help me to get the papers done. I have no income right now! Its like they want me to default so they can cancel my insurance and such... argggg . It was just a very bad day. I hate telling my family these stories because then they think i'm negative and depressing. Honestly its not me at all. I'm very type A active person. I don't give up.
Checking in!

I'm going to my primary care doctor tomorrow.
I still have problems but I understand now every case is different.
I've come to the understanding that my previous radiation from cancer is a big part of my heart problems and scar tissue. I also have a elevated diagram on left side but doctor wont go into details. I actually had to find many things myself by going to records dept in hospitals :(
What I don't understand is why I still have SOB,dizzy, and fatigue. Randomly when I'm just sitting I also have major SOB.
I want to understand how or if I can make these things better.
I ask my doctor on last appointment if there is a stress test or something we can do to identify why I'm still like this.
He just says You might always have problems. He says heart is a muscle and needs time to build up.
In mean time I want to go back to work but not sure how I can if I get SOB,dizzy just walking from my car and up 6 stairs to house.
I hope he says something tomorrow or I'm going to have to find a new doctor. I just can't take the "no real answer" from him anymore. I would have thought they would at least stress test me to see weather its my heart, lungs, etc?

After reading several other posts . I'm just going to give it time and continue going to my appts .
I'm thinking "tweeking" my pacemaker a little at each appt will help me to find that "sweet" setting and I'm sure it is going to take time for my heart and body to adjust.
I still have spells of SOB often, and dizzyness. But I'm hoping slowly it will go away also as we find good settings.
I will keep thinking positive and gently pushing my body a little more each day.
