Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone has had some depression since having PM surgery? I am not a depressive person at all, but have found myself being a little depressed for a couple of weeks now, off and on. Just wondering if anyone else has been affected like this? I do not like this at all!!

You know you're wired when...
You forecast electrical storms better than the weather network.

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!

Hi,
Yes, I have but I'm not sure if all of it is PM related. I have a lot going on in my life right now. I think those of us with PM's tend to blame everything on our devices but we have to remember that sometimes life can be hard to deal with regardless if we have a PM or not.
I know for me it was shocking and depressing to learn I had something wrong with my heart when I thought I was healthy and doing every thing right - which I was for the plumbing part anyway. It did help me some knowing there is no known cause for electrical problems and there was nothing I could have done to prevent them and that they can happen to anyone regardless of age, health, etc. It still is hard though and it does take a lot of getting used to and making the mental adjustment of having to live with a heart device can be really tough.
Hang in there, I hope you have brighter days ahead!
