Hi everyone,
I had an atrial pacemaker implanted in 2000 after an ablation of the sinus node and another in 2009. I'm due another box change and my electro physiologist has said that I will have an upgrade to a dual chamber as I now have left bundle branch block. Has anyone upgraded from a single to dual pacemaker?

Check out His-pacing.org for heathy alternatives. I heard from a group of four well-known EP experts, that the application of pacing will change completely in just 5 to 7 years.

The His-pacing.org site was very interesting. I attend one of the best cardiac hospitals in the Uk and I will certainly ask the electropysiologist about this.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.

There are a few members who have come through who went from a single to dual, however most of us start with a dual lead, even if we only expect to use the one lead. The other is there as back up, to provide information, and sometimes (as in your case, and happened to me too) we end up using it eventually.
