Hey people I have a CRTD and am wanting to get a forearm tattoo is it dangerous or is it safe to do. I am just wondering if my meds might affect it. Later.

Hi I have a pacemaker and have had many many tattoos over the years with no problems what so ever and I take several medications for HBP to Heart rythm stuff but if you are concerned check with your Dr and the tattoo artist some of them are very good in knowing what meds could cause a problem I am also on blood thinners.Good Luck

You can get a tattoo

You can get a tattoo. Having a PM doesn't automatically exclude you from having it done. Obviously you'll want to make sure sterility is maintained and rigorously enforced. Getting an infection with a foreign object in the body can give the infection a location to attack.
Others on the forum have questioned getting a tattoo directly over the PM which could possibly be on the scar tissue of the implant site. That has been strongly discouraged.
