Part of this is NOT ....

....unusual. Feeling your heart beat when you suddenly stand up from a resting position is common. ESPECIALLY if the resting position is squatting as opposed to sitting on a chair. I notice that you live in Northern India - Having lived in Asia, but NOT the Indian Subcontinent, I am familiar w/ some cultures that squat to rest; I do not know if this is your habit.

Suddenly raising - even from the sitting position, causes the heart to have to work harder to pump blood throughout the body - it now has to pump it up from your feet, which are now about half a meter lower than they were while sitting. The heart's beat may become stronger to do that & you feel it. Another symptom of this is the blood pressure dropping suddenly when you stand. If you rise from a squatting position, the situation may be worse, due to the sudden change of bending at the knees will change the resistance to blood flow that the heart contends with.

Let's talk about feeling your heart beat abnormally during the day w/ complete heart block.

I went to Medtronic & looked up your PM. For Complete heart block, it uses an algorithm called "Automatic Mode Switching." You may be sensing that without realizing it is doing that to you. Here's the link: https://www.inkling.com/read/saksena-electrophysiological-disorders-heart-2nd/chapter-31/automatic-mode-switching.

Go here to read about it & see your Cardio for further information to confirm this may be the case.

call

Make a note of the times it happens and call. Sometimes they can figure out what happened by looking at the pm report. My first thought is to wonder if they turned on rate response with the new device. With CHB theoretically we don't need it but sometimes they leave it on thinking we won't use it. That's usually true, but sometimes it just gets in the way, competing with our own rate and we feel better with it turned off. RR works be sensing movement (like, when you get up) and raising our rate for us.

I would call

I don't think anything serious is going on but I'd call anyway just to ease your mind and try to get some answers. The pm will record only a limited number of episodes so if you wait too long, the data may not be there anymore.

Have you had more than the usual amount of caffeine? If I lay off the coffee for a few days, my heart will behave. I can handle a cup of coffee, but more than that sets me off. Just a thought! Dehydration can also cause problems.
