Im just about a week after installation. drivin for a few days. The sholder belt of the seatbelt in my car naturally goes across the chest over the heart and over the PM. I try to move the seat and try not to have it on it. What is the easiest way to avoid a problem if I stop short?

Seatbelt irritation

Hi! I drove 440 miles the day after I got home from the hospital. My pacemaker felt like a hard boiled egg in my chest and was very sore and swollen. I put a small pillow under the seatbelt above the pacemaker so it didn't directly touch it. When I drove home 3 days later, the swelling had gone down and I didn't need to use the pillow.
Good luck! Willie G

I used a hand towel, folder over two or three times and placed under my seat belt for the first couple of weeks.

I used an ice pack inside a hand towel for the first few days after - killed two birds with one stone. After a few days I just used the folded up hand towel until I didn't need it anymore.

I went to Walmart Automotive section, and got a white wool looking seatbelt shoulder pad. Works pretty good after you heal up a bit.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.

Hi there,
I bought a cushion specific for a defib/PM. I attaches to my seatbelt and covers the PM.
