OK EASIER FOR ME TO TYPE IN CAPS. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET CHF FROM A VIRUS. WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED MY EF WAS ONLY 10. OKAY FAST FORWARD 8 YEARS, I HAD TO GO FOR OTHER SURGERY AND MY DOCTOR IS THE TYPE IF YOU HAVE EF HE DOES NOT WANT TO DO ECHOS. BUT I HAD TO HAVE ONE DONE. I WALKED INTO HIS OFFICE AND HE TOLD ME COME WITH ME HE HOOKED ME UP TO THE MACHINE, I ASKED WHAT IS GOING ON?? HE SAID LISTEN YOUR EF IS 45 NOW. I SAID WHAT???? HE TOLD ME HE HAS NO IDEA IF IT WAS THE DEFIB THAT STRENGTHENED MY HEART. I HAD A NEW DEFIB LAST YEAR. ANY COMMENTS PLEASE.

The Doctors think it was a virus. I see you have a 3 lead bi-vent....me too.
The lead in the left ventricle is causing your heart to beat in sync (with the right ventricle) putting less stress on your heart and a stronger pumping action for the blood and oxygen to the rest of your body, hence the improvement in your EF (me too). It doesn't always work that well for everyone, we are very lucky.
Take care,
