New Member with new device

Just had a St Jude ICD implanted early August, did not have any time to do the research on the device before the op. In doing some after the fact, I have found a number of articles regarding recalls of St Jude electrical leads, should I have any concerns?

So far I am feeling 100% better after the implant, your comments will be most appreciated.

If you look back, every company has had recalls at one time or another! I think SJM has actually had fewer than some of the others overall. I'm on my 4th SJM, have had nothing but good experience with the company as a whole, their devices and their reps. Glad you are feeling better! Welcome.

What do you drive?

Has your vehicle experienced recalls? I think Tracey is right, every company goes through the recalls.

Hopefully they got our's right!

Great you are feeling better!

Thanks

Thanks Angry Sparrow1, Lurch, Tracey E.

I feel better already from your comments, it's great to have brothers and sisters to share experiences with.

I had my implant put in 2 yrs ago. No problems with it yet.
Take your medication regularly and you should be fine.
Also monitor your blood presser to keep it under control

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
