It is three days before Christmas and I have been feeling particularly grateful, extremely happy and at peace. When I look back to last year, I was miserable but didn't know what the problem was. For two years I suffered from near fainting, trouble breathing, night sweats, constant fatigue . I had to even stop talking to my family about it, they were beginning to think I was a hypochondriac. I went to every specialist I could. My pulmonologist suggested I take tranquilizers; it was all in my head.
When I was finally properly diagnosed I had the PM inserted immediately. I was very tired for the two months following the insertion but now I am actually jogging at 66 years of age and feel great. You really don't appreciate your health until you don't have it. I guess my point is, you have to really shake the medical trees; you are your own best advocate. It doesn't matter what is wrong with you, you just need someone to pay attention.
At any rate, I am feeling so great! I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. Happy holidays to all of you.

Thanks for sharing. I've had the worst year of my life 2014. Grateful to have my pacemaker, but worried sick as to why I've had symptomatic sustained bradycardia.
Wonderful to hear

Me too! :-)
I'm so glad you are now getting good care. Sometimes that in itself is a journey.
Merry Christmas to you as well.

Ginger, I can't run 6 miles either!! I'm 66, and I run short distances, and am working my way up. I've always been an avid walker, now I actually break out in a run!
