It took me about 30 days to come out of A-Fib. Everyone is different.

Hi
Google a-fib.com by Steve Ryan that website has al the info on mineral supplements, such as Magnesium, Potassium and Calcium. Was a big help to me, also the only medication I took in 14 years was Sotalol.

If you can hold your breath and " bear down", apparently doing this (repeatedly) may bring you out. As well a very hard cough may work ( the kind where you cant even breathe because your whole chest almost spasms.

Although I have the opposite problem in that my heart does not beat fast enough. My sister uses the first method with total success and my husband has found the second option to work for him.
Good luck to you!

Pulling Out

The methods mentioned above have never been successful for me. Massaging the carotid artery in your neck may also help.

Coreg is primarily used for congestive heart failure so I don't understand why you are on that. When I have an episode I take 150 mg of Flecainide and another 150 mg 1/2 hour later. That works some of the time. If that doesn't work I go and get cardioverted. You need to do that within 24 -48 hours or you will need to get a transesophageal before you can get cardioverted. Cardioversion is no big deal. I've had it done probably about 35 times.

Sometimes before I have been cardioverted they gave me Magnesium to see if that would help. It never worked for me though I do take Magnesium every day as a supplement.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
