Hi, I'm new to the club and have a few questions. Here is my situation. Seventeen years ago at age 54 I had five bypasses. Fortunately I did not have a heart attach. I regularly have both radiation or treadmill stress tests.
I have had PVCs for years and they don't really bother me, but now they have increased to 38% of my heart beats. Sometimes three in a row. The doctors are concerned. This week they attempted to ablate them and were unsuccessful. When mapping the ventricle they found a number of small site but the main number of PVCs appeared to be coming from an area where the a valve muscle attached and didn't want to disturb the valve. While they were in there my heart rate dropped to 30bpm. Normally my rate is in the 50s and it returned to 50s at the end of the procedure.
Now they took me off my Beta Blocker and are going to put me on a treadmill to see if my heart rate rises. If it doesn't he may prescribe a PM. Has anyone experienced anything like this. Opinions please.
Thanks,
gdb

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
