Phone black outs check ups?

We are having trouble with our landline service Time Warner. (The tv, internet and land line keeps going down) It has been going in and out. It says check tell line. I am worried that when I am due for a check up that it will go blank In a middle of a pacer check especially when they speed up your in the checkup and then phone goes dead so to speak and there is no way of slowing the down heart. I am wondering what will happen. I don't trust phone test. Would you do the phone with phone blanking out like that?

if the phone signal stops during the test the PM should go back to it's normal setting with in seconds you should be fine at least that's what they told me when we asked what happens if there is a unusual event that affects the PM

Have you checked to see if the TWC phone lines can be used at all with your device?

I have a St Jude and when I tried the initial set up, it turned out the Merlin wouldn't light up as it was supposed to. I had to find an old fashion phone company landline in order for the Merlin to transmit and receive.

As a result, I have never actually used the Merlin.

Mine works on cable telephone

I have Brighthouse cable, which was previously TWC, and my connection with Biotronik works fine. I went from the transmitting device straight into a phone jack versus through a phone. Called Biotronik and they confirmed that the reports were being received...

Get some peace of mind...

Call or e-mail the maker of your device and ask them the question. I have found that they (at least Biotronik who I have dealt with) are very accommodating and helpful. But, I agree with billymac, I would suspect it to go back to its normal programming if interrupted during a test procedure.

No speed-up with phone checks

When you have a phone check it is really just an EKG followed by a download of some of the PM data to show whether there have been any issues.
They do not speed up your rate or make any adjustments; those are only done at the doctor's office so you have no reason to be concerned.
