Well 2 days ago I received my new crt implant along with an av node ablation. It is the first time in years that I truly have a peaceful heartbeat. My heartbeat has been so chaotic for so long I feel like I'm in a new body.

Relief

I know exactly what you mean. Immediately post implant, I was able to feel at rest, peaceful, fully at ease, for the first time in a long time.
It was a revelation. Because I'd had all the usual tests and my heart was "fine," it had never occurred to me that my feeling that I never rested or full relaxed was coming from my heart.
A regular heartbeat, not too fast, not too slow, is a wonderful thing.
I would say definitely Yes to rehab to help you get your strength back. It helped me a lot. Against my will, I too had turned into a couch potato

I had a pacemaker before but for about a year and a half I have been having alot of complications. My strength has gone way down from being so sick. Should I recommend a cardiac rehab program to help me bounce back a little faster. Can't do alot of exercising due to having AS in my joints.
Keep moving

I got the post implant rush where I felt really good. Then that feeling dropped after my body adjusted to the new reality. Then I went into a regression. Mostly I have problems with stamina. I hope this doesn't happen to you. However....
If it does, keep moving. As Gotrhythm said, rehab will help you get your strength and stamina back. The worst thing you can do for the setback is to go back to being a couch potato. The best thing is to keep moving. The more you move the better you'll feel. When you get tired, stop. But every day you'll feel a little stronger and a little better.
I'm back to moving 45 pound sheets of wood and tossing furniture around at the furniture bank. There are days when I can only work three hours - other days more. It just depends. When I first returned to the furniture bank I was only able to work two hours at a time, now I'm mostly up to 3 1/2 to 4 hours at a time - and that's with moving heavy wood pieces around.
Life is better with the PM. Life does get better. I hope things continue to go well for you. Just remember you have a good source of help on this forum.
