Afib

Are there very many people out there that has afib and then have a heart attack like I did .? Just wondering . Did the afib cause the heart attack ?

Hi Heartforyou.
Yes I had untreated afib. I also knew there was something wrong with my heart. Cardio said he did not think so, but said he would put monitors on me. I did not get that far. I had a myocardial infarction, coronary artery spasm, and a few other things, which sent me to emergency. After 3 days I went home and went to original cardio who put me back in hospital as only half of my heart was working. So later I had ablation and ended up with pacemaker. Had a further ablation for more afib, and now everything is working well. Did the afib cause the heart attack? I don't think I will ever know, but something did and it was not blocked arteries as I had an angiogram.

Occasional jaw pain...

Had a St Judes put in June 15. I am still having some jaw pain about once a week along with painful chest pain . Within 10 min . it goes away . Does anyone else have these symptoms . It feels scary and awful . Had a follow up with heart Dr about one month ago and mentioned it to him . He said continue the heart medicine and made it sound like it would fade away.???
