New to the PM world!

As of June 23rd, 2014 I am the proud owner of a Boston Scientific CRT-D. My Dr. told me that this would increase my energy level and I might say I think he was correct. The past 3 - 4 years have been interesting since I had quad-bypass in Feb of 2011. I was pleased to find a site where others are available for support and answers to questions. I like and appreciate my Cardiologist and Arrhythmia Dr's but the sometimes do not share as much information as I would like.

I hope that everyone has a Safe and Blessed 4th weekend.

Sounds like you've already got quite a heart history under your belt. The PM is new but you're not so I'm sure you'll have valuable input on this site to help others.

When you want more info, use the search mechanism on the gray horizontal bar. Personally, I'm so new (6 months) that I don't what to ask so reading the questions and answers of others is eye-opening enough!

Don't overdo it this weekend. In fact, give yourself a few weeks to really adjust.

What a weekend!

I was less than 2 weeks since my PM was implanted. We spent the 4th on the back of my Harley in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. I was a little surprised when we returned home I was not tired at all. For the past few years when riding for more then 6 to 8 hours I was completely worn out. And it normally took me a few days to regain my energy. But we got up Saturday and drove with the kids to take Grandparents out to lunch. I am so thankful that God makes people that dedicate their to helping others. I am so blessed to have regained parts of life that I thought may have been gone for good. I hope that all had a Very Blessed holiday weekend.

Good for You!

I am so glad you are feeling so good after your implant. I just had a bang up 4th of July getting a pacemaker. I still cannot believe it. I passed out and was wearing a Holter monitor and and called in my heart rate at 34. It wouldn't come back up so they told me to get to the ER quick. My husband got me there in 5 minutes. They immediately put a pacemaker in. I am still in shock.....and totally feel depressed. It was totally painless and quick and I was home in 21 hours. I hope I will get to be like you soon. You are an inspiration!

This old Tennessee gal just has to get used to this new lifestyle! My husband is so understanding and I sure don't want to let him down. Pray for me. God bless you and keep on doing great!

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
