3rd opinion

sounds like a good idea.

I would think that how you feel would be a big factor in your decision. Because at the end of the day, it's your decision.

Try not to worry

Try not to worry but I know that's hard. Sounds like a good plan to get third opinion. Hr of 40 while sleeping sounds ok to me but I'm no expert. I have got to the age of 35 with a resting hr of 45 and that was fine for me until got 3rd degree block and was passing out all over the place so they put in a pm.its stopped me fainting now but it's come with its own set of problems. Maybe time will tell with you. Good luck xx

good to have 3rd opinion

I don't know what your situation is--what your symptoms are etc. only you and your dr. know. In my case I knew something was wrong but we couldn't get a handle on it until I had my 30 monitor. I was dxed with PSVT last year and had an ablation for that. In july I went back into A-fib and was put on drugs. Still didn't feel good and was having bouts of lightheadedness etc. My dr. ran a couple of 24 hr holter monitors spaced out over a period of several months but they never showed anything really. I had an episode at work in January and had to go to the ER --saw my primary a couple days later and sent me to my EP got a 30 day monitor then a month later on a Friday saw him for a report-- on Monday he put in my PM! Never looked back and am doing great now. no more lightheadness, no more near black outs and I can run if I want to. It's incredible the difference it's made. Now that's me--I had SSS and afib compounded by the meds for the Afib. and was causing a very slow heart rate. By the way last interrogation i'm pacing in atria at about 56-65% of the time and about 3-6% in ventricle

Las Cruces, NM.....

.....good grief! Do you LIVE there or just visiting. Your bio says you live in Alabama - a good 1200 miles east of Las Cruces.

I lived in Las Cruces a lifetime ago as a college student. (1100 Espina, directly across the street from the NMSU cattle feed lot)
It was really a cow town then & from what you say, sounds like in some respects it still is.

El Paso is not that far away - if you are really in Las Cruces, I'd recommend that you drive the 60 or so miles down to El Paso & find a bigger hosp there for another opinion.
