Hey there
so I have a pacemaker and wondering is it possible to be a Firefighter? Anyone?

Hey dialated cardiomyopathy, sick sinus syndrome, etc.
I do however work out a lot and run 1/2 marathons. I feel that at 40 I was meant to do more than just sit behind a desk.

My nurse told me the full time big city fire dept. willl not return you to active duty.
I'm on a small town vol dept. So far its been ok. Not many fires where I get to go in. When I do I'm good for two bottles of air then I'm done for the day. I live close to the station so I usually run the engine. Most of our calls are car crashes.
