Hello all. I got my new dual chamber PM just four days ago. I like to say HI and wish that I can gather more information in this new lifestyle. I was installed due to Vasovagal Syncope. I have been having fainting episodes since high school, and it has gotten more frequent when I started working. At first, we all thought it's stress related, and did all work up, EEG, MRI, 2D echo. Until I fainted again last week (8 months after the last one) Then did the TTT 3 days after which I completely went flat out 10 secs with zero BP.
I cannot wait to fully recover and continue my life. I am an active person pre-PM, I run, play tennis, active career woman, etc. I hope to gain more learning insights through this forum.

You've found a great site to get support and help with any questions you may have.
You're in the healing stage now, but as you start to feel better you should be able to get back to your normal activities Listen to your body, it will let you know if you over due it. Hopefully you've started walking and are doing slow arm movements keeping within your site side arm movement restrictions. It is very important to move.
When you have PM interrogations get a copy of the report. It will have all your device settings. Then if you have questions you'll have the info to ask on this site for help. They normally start out with average settings and typically they need tweaking for the more active folks.
You should get back to your pre-PM activities and may be even better.

Thank you for your warm welcome. I'm trying to fight my post-op days from being sad and depressed coz I'm not used to staying home for a long long time. It's been 5 days from implant.
I was trying to search this forum about driving cars with high electronic system. If it has any effect on PM drivers or patients?
Thanks.
You know you're wired when...
You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

Hi.
So glad you found us.
Sounds like you have a great attitude and my prediction is: you will be back to "normal" before you know it. Just remember, however, that you did just have surgery and your body needs time to recover. There is nothing harder than being a patient patient - LOL.
Again, I am glad you found us and don't ever hesitate to ask ANY type of question.
If you are looking for specific answers there is always the SEARCH feature - upper right hand corner...just type in a few key words and you will find oodles of past posts & comments.
Take care and keep us posted.
