First days

Hello my friends,

I am new here! I just have implanted an ICD 3 days ago because Ventricular Tachycardia . It is a totally different experience for me. I am 35 years old and I had a heart attack when I was 29 when I have implanted one stent.
Its nice find a place with persons who had similar experiences and still enjoying the beauty of the life. I think persons like us are blessed because We can understand how precious is the life.
By the time I was 7 years old, my grandfather was a doctor and had a saint statue on his desk at his office. And this saint statue had a skull in his feet. I asked to my grandfather why this saint has a skull in his feet, and He answered me because that way the saint can remember about death and can understand how precious is the life. This saint, the skull, this phrase, stayed on my mind and now I see this ICD like this skull in the saint feet. Its here in my chest to remember me how precious is the life. So my friends We all have to feel blessed and enjoy this precious life! I wish all love and happiness for all! Lets spread the good energy to all world! Because We really know how precious is the life! Thank God I had a beautiful news today that my son who is coming on october is super health!!! Sorry for my english! God bless you all!

I am new to this site as well. It is nice to have some place to go. I am 61 and had ICD implanted in February for V-tach, although mine is not associated with a heart attack. ICD works great to pace your heart back into rhythm, although it doesn't feel good at the time it only lasts a few minutes. I have an electrical problem and my cardiologist is going to try another ablation. The first one did not work. On a side note my best friend just dropped dead of a heart attack last Thursday at 63, so this is not helping. He was an active person with no previous health issues. Life is indeed precious. Congrats on your new son in October....my first granddaughter is due in October as well....

thanks

thank you for your comment! i wish all helth of the world for your granddaughter.
I just have some doubts about your comment
1. Did your friend who had heart attack and died was carring an ICD?
2. Where r u doing VT ablation?I asked about this to my doc and he said that its very complicate bc doesnt cure. Do u have info about it?
Best,
RP

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
