Vibration from music at outdoor concert

Hi
Just had to leave an outdoor music festival Clapped, sang and danced Had a great time Sat in front row Lots of electronic equipment Next band set up and as soon as they started to play, I felt a fluttering sensation mid - sternum, breathless and panicy. I felt I had to get away from the vibration. I had no pain. When I got to the car I was OK . I had a St Jude PM dual lead PM implanted on April 23, 2014. Has any one had this happen to them or heard of it happening to others. Thanks

It happened to me at an outdoor music festival too. We also were sitting in the front and I felt it immediately. I jumped up and we moved to the back and that solved the problem.

I believe there are some very strong magnets in those massive speakers and that was the problem. It won't do any damage to your PM. Just walk away and it should go back to normal as you have probably already found.

Welcome to the club.

I've felt that once or twice also! I mentioned the time to my rep but nothing happened on the report so he didn't think it was a magnet. It could be the magnets, or it could simply be the vibrations from the base, who knows. I don't know what but my dr wasn't worried so I'll never turn down a front row seat ;o) Anything like that that happens is temporary and harmless.

Dear Grateful Heart,
Thank you so much for responding to me so quickly. I suspected that it might be the speakers but wasn't sure. It is very comforting to me that I am not alone. It's not something anyone warned me about. The day wasn't a total loss . I did enjoy the first band, didn't bother me at all I was so happy and grateful that I was able to be there and have so much fun. When the bands switched, they reset all the electronics with sound checks. The 2nd band had much more base . I'm so relieved it won't hurt my PM. Lesson learned, the front seats may not be the best seats for everyone ! This club is wonderful. You are very kind. You are right, I am fine now. Sincerely, Magunna

WE had a thread.....

.....about this several months ago.

What you felt was resonant vibration in your body cavities - read that as lungs - that caused discomfort. You were nowhere near close enough to the magnets to have felt an effect from them.

I'll find the relevant comments by KAG & myself & post them for you. Common effect.

...sitting in a bath tub!

Here's where you find a long-winded (pun intended) thread on your subject.

Go to the top right corner of the page: Click on SEARCH. Enter "very odd feeling at a concert" in the box (W/O the quotes) & hit ENTER. The thread should come up as the only one w/ that title.

ENJOY!

I have had that happen before my pacemaker was put in.
Sound waves are very powerful.

acoustical vibration.

Ever hear/feel your windows vibrate when one of those cars full of speakers go by with the volume at full blast.

Ever stand under an F-4E jet with both engines running. I can confirm that your insides feel like vibrating jello. Very weird feeling.

I didn't have a PM at that time, but I can understand why people with PM's would think that it is a magnet, but it's not. It's either the RR, if you have it on, sensing the vibrations, or it's just that your insides are vibrating. A very weird sensation.
