Hi Magunna51, I've had my pm since February 2014. I'm an 33year old RN in the UK and am currently working as a charge nurse in an Emergency Department. Prior to my pm for SSS and profound Brady, working 12hr ed shifts was a nightmare, but post pm I'm floating round the dept like I'm on an adrenaline infusion lol ( epinephrine for my colleagues across the pond). Happy to help with any questions
Kindest regards
Ian

I'm an LPN with 2 semesters left for my RN; can't wait!!! It's been a bit of a challenge working fulltime and going to school fulltime. I recieved my first PM during my 1st semester of clinicals, and then my second PM (d/t complications) my 2nd semester of clinicals.

Hi!

Hi! I'm 29 years old and had my PM since October 2012. At that time, I was working in ICU of a hospital in Middle East. After one year, I decided to go back home and be with my family for awhile because they got so worried about me and also, I need time to recover because it after my PM implant in October 2012, I still feel breathless and I can't still cope with my usual activities in the hospital which according to my cardiologist should be gone by that time. Many of my colleagues thought I'm malingering but thankful enough, I seek another medical opinion from another hospital and I found out that my ventricular lead is not in placed, so I had another operation last December 2013 for revision of my PM. It's been a year now, and I've been going here and there applying to work as a nurse, hospitals always have high regards in accepting me but as soon as they learn I have PM, they will end up saying No. So, I want to know what are your experiences with regards to applying as a nurse? Should I stop looking for a job as a nurse? I'm currently looking for a nursing job in New Zealand. Thank you.
