Is this still active May 06, 2014

Hello ~ I just found out today that I will be getting a pacemaker on Thursday and was wondering if this website is still active? It looks like the most recent post was a year ago? I'm pretty nervous about getting an implant. I just turned 57 and I only started having issues last fall but I had to wait until I had insurance. I do hope this is still active. Thanks.

.....but what do you expect at 4:40 AM? We are mostly all asleep east of you in the North American Continent and at work in Europe. The Aussies are probably just getting home from work & haven't tuned in yet.

You want activity - you'll see it in a while. My cell phone alarm just emulated a rooster for 5 minutes because I cannot find the turn off button in my awakening stupor. Just hang in there, we'll be around after stretching out a bit, rubbing the sleep from our eyes & getting a cup of coffee.

For your self entertainment & to learn all about the denizens who inhabit the depths of the club, go to the top right corner of this page; click on SEARCH; enter BACKPACKING & see what comes up. We had a member who was an avid practitioner of the sport - ElectricFrank, who passed away about a year ago. He wrote about it.

If you go the the top left corner & find MEMBER GALLERY & click on that, enter ELECTRICFRANK in the box & chick on ENTER. all frank's photos will show up. Including him shirtless while wearing a backpack in the Arizona mountains/desert. He was about 80 yrs old when he took the selfie.

this is a wonderful site. i am new a month ago and have learned so much. folks are great in answering questions and also sending you private messages.
i felt so much better before my surgery because of the support from this site. ask away - im sure folks will respond as did don. he seems to always be one of the first!:)
