Hi folks...hope someone can help me with a query. I had my pacemaker implanted 1 year ago. It's a dual chamber meditronic. Since implantation I have had serious problems when using the laptop or iPad. They keep freezing or shutting down. If I walk away it works again. Is this a coincidence or has anyone else experienced this and if do, is there anything can be done to rectify it? It's mighty frustrating to say the least...thanks in advance for any feedback

Coincidence....possibly.

Dawn, the chance of your PM affecting your laptop and Ipad is very unlikely.
It will not emit enough EMF to have this effect.
You will have to look elsewhere for the cause.
Check the battery connections in each piece of equipment. This is a much more likely cause of the faults you describe, than having a PM fitted.
good luck,

Have same pm. Use both laptop and mini pad. Just returned from several days flying and going through multiple airport securities. No problem -just walked through. Trish.

Guys, I have checked and replaced batteries, connections and anything else that can be checked and I'm still having probs...
Computer, ipad, blackberry...you name it and if I go near it it freezes. Doesn't happen with anyone else in the house so I am starting to feel that there is a problem with me...
Any advice?? I'd try anything at this stage
Thanks in advance
Dawn

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
Coincidence

Got ny coke and popcorn ready and sat comfortably looking forward to the answers to this question ;-)
I regularly have devices on my desk radiating several watts of RF right next to my laptop and while they may cause my screen to flicker, they've never caused my laptop to freeze or shutdown, so I'm going to vote for "coincidence" :-)
