New member from the Philippines

Hi everyone, happy to have found this site. It's really relieving to read the messages. I am 38 and just had my pacemaker implantation last March 5th. Days before my procedure I have browsed the postings here and was well-informed on how it is to become a "wired" individual and it gives me enough courage to face it. My recovery is doing great and just had my 2nd interrogation last week. The wires are stable and still have 13.5 years...

Welcome to the PM club and it is good to read that your recovery is going so well , just think, if their forecast is right, you will be 51.5 yrs old when you need a replacement !

Best of luck

Ian

PS I hope your country is recovering from last year's typhoon Haiyan

Yes you're right but then it would depend on my usage. Still have enough time though to save for the next procedure...Thanks for your concern re: typhoon Haiyan. As you know our country is greatly devastated especially those in the Visayas areas. With the support of our government and all the countries that helped us, we are recovering though it would some time to fully recover. Thanks for all the support and prayers!

Thanks Tattoo Man

Honestly this site really helped me a lot in my recovery. At my age, it was not easy being in this situation but because of the support of my loved ones, family and friends and having this site makes me feel a lot better everyday. It gives me hope and the realization that having PM is not the end of the world - - -
it's LIFE, we have been given an "extension" of our lives. Thanks so much for the support! Kudos to all the members of the club for giving hope to each one of us!

Yes I'm here in Manila and it's good to hear that you have your friends here. Hope you can visit our country and experience our nice beaches and the hospitality of the Filipinos.

You know you're wired when...
