Well, not as high as Bill's, but I'll take it.
I have a CRT-D since 2008. My EF was 24% and within the first year it was 50% and has remained there. Also, my heart is no longer enlarged.
I know not everyone does so well.... we are very, very lucky.
Good luck with your first echo.

What meds are you on.

Bill and Gratful Heart, what meds are you taking? My EF has only gone up from 30 to 37 and l am on low doses of Carvedilol 3.125 twice a day and 10 mg of lisinopril. I had to change meds in April so its only been 4 months on these meds. Does everyone have to take meds with a CRT-D. I was told they do. Thanks. Boyd

Sorry for the delay in responding, I went away for a few days.
I take Carvedilol too, 25 mg. twice a day but started out same as you and built up gradually to 25 mg. The Doctor explained they slowly double the dose to 6.25 mg., then 12.5 mg., then 25 mg. (at least in my case) to make sure I could tolerate it. In fact, I didn't tolerate the 25 mg. well at first and so they dropped it back to 12.5mg. for a while and then the Doctor said to try the 25 mg. again a few months later and it was ok. I also take Ramipril 10 mg. at night.
Give it a little more time, it's going in the right direction but go by how you feel.

Echo Improvement
by Bill T - 2014-07-23 09:07:26
I had a CRT-D upgrade in 2011 and am amazed at the improvement. I was in the low 30s before because the ventricles were out of synchronization. On may last Echo, last spring, I was in the 60s. Hope you have similar results.
