I'm new to this too. I had a two lead installed (buried under muscle) three weeks ago. It went smoothly, I feel fine and the scar and swelling is minimal.

ok tattoo man - you asked - so here's my story.
I was diagnosed in 2006 with a left branch bundle block. after a nuclear stress test, echocardiogram, etc I was diagnosed with ischemic cardiomyopathy. (ejection fraction 35%)
had held my own until this last year. recent echo showed ejection fraction at 15%, severe mitral valve regurgitation, and enlarged heart. I have been on lisinopril and carvedilol with no improvement.
both my cardiologist and electrophysiologist recommended CRT-D. although I have the choice not to have this procedure and implantation, my heart is deteriorating and I really do not feel I have a choice.
I am pretty much asymptomatic so it was a hard decision for me. but the reality is my docs describe my heart is overworking - bottom ventricles are beating out of sync causing more stress on my heart.
soooo, I am leaning towards this - next week. what thinks thee? thanks for asking.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
