I just finished the S-190/S-130 courses and was wondering if anybody has had any experience applying for a spot on a Hotshot crew with an ICD?

I know that I will need doctor approval, but even with that, I feel like it is a longshot. How hard is it to jump through all the hoops and how realistic of a goal is it to be on a hotshot crew?

Physically, I know I am in good enough condition. I am a 22 year old avid kayaker and snowboarder as well as all shorts of other outdoor activities. And as far as the strenuous element of it, one of my jobs this past summer was building hiking trail using the same tools as on a fire line.

Any information would be greatly desired.
