introduction

Hello to all.
Yesterday I had a pacemaker installed so this seems like a good time to introduce myself. I am 75 and I have had an issue with arrhythmias for about 35 or 40 years. I was always been told that it was nothing to worry about until last July. To make it short, Now I have Medtronic pacemaker and find it necessary to reorganize my life. I appreciate there being the PaceMaker Club to meet other people in similar situations.

....PM.

I remember you from way down the page asking about the differences in PM's.

I wrote you about Medtronic devices & suggested that you look them up & peruse the list of some 35 different PM's that Medtronic makes.

Well, let's remove the mystery - which of the 35 models did you get?

Have you noticed a difference yet?

Thank you for the comment.

I have a Medtronic ADDRL1 Adapta DR. The difference I notice is that there is a floor under my pace set at 60. I seem to be sleeping better. I am not sure if that is because of the pacemaker or lingering effect of the anesthesia but it feels good. (I feel good) The anesthesia did a job on my mind. This morning I couldn't remember where I keep my mug.

Now we can deal with the tachycardia.

You know you're wired when...

You take technology to heart.
