Hi I am new here and have had my pacemaker for about 4 mths. About a week and a half ago I was shoveling really heavy snow and flinging it high to get it over the snow pile. Since then every time it kicks in I get pulsing over the pm matching my heartbeat. It is so annoying! I called the doctor and they said if I feel pain call. I don't feel pain but I can't imagine that this is normal! any suggestions would be truly appreciated. thanks! PS hope this is the right place to post this!

Its possible that you damaged a lead. If it keeps up get checked out.
As for the lady who can hear her heart beat. Not unusual. I can hear mine when I am in bed and things are very quiet. Especially if I am on my side with my ear on the pillow.

thanks for answering!! I am going to call my doctor! What will they do if the lead moved?
btw If you hear your heartbeat make sure it isn't your blood pressure.

doesn't sound right to me & I'd sure go in. At very least, you'd feel better. I had an episode last week that for several hrs I was able to hear my pulse in my ears. I was very tired that night & it has not come back but I am going in Tuesday to see my EP's ANP to ask about it. Makes me feel better to get an opinion. :-)
