weakness after implant

My mother is 83 and just had a pacemaker implant after being diagnosed with sick sinus. She had been feeling very weak and nauseas prior to being told she needed the pacemaker. She was released from the hospital three days ago but remains feeling very weak and nauseas. I had hoped to see her feeling better by now.
Has anyone else had similar experiences ? She has been a pretty healthy woman with no previous heart problems.

Would appreciate any feedback as to post implant /hospital results. Thank You.

All a pm will do is raise her heart rate. Theoretically that should help with the weakness, but if something else is causing the weakness she may feel the same. Some people get the pm and feel hugely different, others feel the same but are safer, most fall somewhere in the middle. Nothing about SSS should cause nausea. Is she on any meds?

She currently takes 300mg irbesartan for HBP and 200 mg fenofibrate for cholesterol and has been in this for years.

has a stomach bug ! The only part of the procedure which is likely to produce nausea would be the after-effects of the anaesthetic , But you say she had nausea prior to the PM implant so there must be some other totally unrelated cause .

I hope she feels better soon.

Weakness after Impant

I received my PM three weeks ago. I am experiencing overall body weakness on some days. My appetite is good and my medications are the same. My BP and heart rate was good today. 122/80 65 bpm. My normal rate with the PM has been 60 bpm.
Any ideas as what cold cause this weakness?
