Energy Level

I'm 42 years old and had to have a pm installed 11 days ago then had to go back in to have a wire repositioned 9 days ago. Should I feel like a million bucks yet? Today was my first day back to work and by 4 pm I was exhausted. Prior to pm I was able to do T25, so I'm in good shape physically. Is it normal? Should I start some sort rehab?

Sounds like my story. I'm 42 on day 11 and had my first PM put in 5 weeks ago. During my 4 week check up they discovered a dislodged lead so I had to have the surgery repeated. I feel sluggish as well

No, not yet

For your age it should take about a month. You're not supposed to lift your elbow on the PM side above the shoulder anyway. The lead re-positioning and second round of anesthetic is going to slow you down.

I'm going to let others closer to your age give you time frames. Being 20 years older means my recovery time won't be as fast.

You'll get there! Being in shape to start with gives you an advantage but it's been less than two weeks and you had two surgeries in that time. Even though they're minor surgeries, they're still a shock to the body. After my last surgery, I was back to work within a week but napped most days the first month. I work from home, so I can get away with that ;) Some people are back to normal in a week, others take a month or more. How long you needed it and how badly you needed it make a difference. How long you were under, how many meds your body has to process... lots of things affect how long it takes to bounce back.

Unless you've had a heart attack or something like that, rehab should not be necessary. Start easy taking walks. Add distance and time grab some hand weights when you're ready.

You know you're wired when...

You have a shocking personality.
