Hot Tub "current" ?

In signing up for an East Coast beach house for a summer family vacation, the hot tub/swimming pool info came with a warning that they might contain a small "natural" (?) electrical current that could cause a problem with pacemakers. Is this just another "microwave" type scare or something real? In looking up hot tubs on EMI lists, it is sometimes listed as "low risk". Could they possibly mean that older guys might get a too high heart rate from all those gorgeous gals bathing suits? lol
