Hi
I posted something earlier today, plenty of reads bit no comments back as yet. I am desperate for someone to shed some light on their experience or knowledge on the recovery time and what to expect when having a loop recorder inserted. I am having this done in the morning and am very nervous at this point. My info is very much appreciated ð

Have you tried searching old posts? I've never had one so I don't know how healing is but it's supposed to be pretty simple as far as I know.
Thanks !!!

Hi all
Thanks all for your information regarding the loop recorder insertion. After waiting 10 hours today the surgery was cancelled and I'm back there again tomorrow for round 2ð I had geared myself up for it too! Oh well not to worry. Thanks again!!!

Should be about the same

Should be about the same as a PM. Soreness for a few weeks, then back to normal. The monitor is just recording and not doing anything to the heart so you don't have those issues to deal with. You'll probably have sensations in the monitor site but that would be normal.
Obviously concerns would be infection at the site location or infection with leads, but that's normal for any invasive procedure.
The main thing to look forward to is hopefully you'll get some definite answers.
Hope everything goes well.
