Tig Welding!!

Hello Papajoe, As a pacemaker veteran since 1992 on my 6th pacemaker & at age 84 am still kicking. I also stayed away from my welder for years. Later on I contacted the manufacturers of my pacemaker and they informed me I cold do regular AC arc welding with limited amperage. Also was suggested to put twists into cables to reduce magnetic fields & keep pacemaker site at a reasonable distance from the arc.
Later in years with Mig & Tig high frequency Welders information was available as to keeping distance from Welder Power supply as the energy output is Square Wave which radiate high frequency energy which could affect a Pacemaker.
I have been welding all types with no problerms. I suggest you message your Pacemaker Manufacturer & get their present Status from their Engineering Department (ONLY). After getting info please post what they tell you as this Welding subject comes up numerous times & would benefit many of us !! Thank You.

Hi Don,

Im a pipe welder and primarily do a lot of stick welding. Have you had any experience with stick and your pacemaker? Im in serious need of answers and peace of mind.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give

Charlie

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.
