Stinging sensation

Got a question. I'm over 4 months post PM implantation 2 lead dual chamber for SSS/ Brady.... Here the last few days I've been getting what feels like bee stings in the upper right corner of the PM... My settings is at 50bpm. Every time I check my pulse it is right at 49/50.... I'm getting ready to make a road trip and wanted to kinda figure this out prior. Thanks for any input..

I used to say it felt like an ant bite. It seems to be part of the healing process, the nerves knitting back together. Not everyone feels it but many of us do. It comes and goes out of the blue. It really hurts when the "bites" occur right?

They should end after a few months, hang in there.

Stinging sensations...

I had my pacemaker implanted on April 7th, about 11 weeks ago. The stinging pains concerned me too, since I thought I may have hurt myself in some way. I consulted this group, and found that I was not alone. I am nearly 12 weeks from implant date, and the stinging has almost stopped altogether. I am now able to get through my days without being constantly aware of my pacemaker. I am just now beginning to feel normal again. I have been working in my garden, digging holes, planting, and doing what I love... wearing myself out... taking breaks... starting again. Enjoy your road trip!

Thanks.... I had my PM interrogation a week or so ago and all checked out well. I will just go through the motions. Ive been trying to stay active as well. This may sound funny but I was more fit and in shape pre-pm. I know I will eventually get back there.
