and last with EP...
the nurse did her thing ran report explained nothing. i asked her for a copy she gave me one, still not a word i asked about % of pacing she said 81%upper 0% lower. i flipped though noticed max was 130 told her that was probably to low for me, HR goes higher when i run. She said you only had it 2 weeks "not sure what that meant" i know how high my HR goes, she did nothing. The only good thing she did was call my Cardiologist and asked her if she would be taking over for the pacemaker. She said YES!!!! going on the 25th hopefully she will spend a little more time. i guess no running for till at least the 25th..Maybe some answers and a little understanding, even thou she said NO Pacemaker, now that i have one i am pretty sure she will be helpful...

upper limit

If your pm is primarily for when you get low at rest, you may not need it to help you get up when you run. 130 is a standard place to start, the dr will have to approve going higher. But as knotguy said, it won't prevent your heart from doing it on its own.

Some are only trained to take the report, that's it. They know next to nothing about what the report says and even less than programming. It will not PACE you over 130.It can never stop our heart from doing its own thing, all it can do is watch.
thanks for the info

The nurse said "the pacemaker would not let your rate go higher than 130" so glad i will not be going back.
You know you're wired when...
You can feel your fingers and toes again.

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
HR & Pacing

Your heart rate and pacing are two different things. Based upon what you say, your PM will pace up to 130 BPM. If your heart rate goes above 130 the PM won't pace at that level.
Sorry the nurse wasn't good a communication. Some doctors raise holy hell if people say anything. So the nurse may have been tight lipped to keep her job.
Hope you can get some help with your EP.
